Tear of the Clouds is a curated live music calendar for the Hudson Rivertowns and lower Westchester — the stretch from Yonkers up through Tarrytown, Ossining, and Peekskill to Beacon, plus the Sound Shore anchors.

The scope is deliberate: jam, bluegrass, folk, Dead-adjacent, funk, livetronica, americana. Not every band at every bar — the shows a person with taste would drive to on a Tuesday.

Why the name

Lake Tear of the Clouds sits on the shoulder of Mount Marcy, the highest pond source of the Hudson River. Everything on this calendar is downstream of it.

How it works

Venue calendars get read daily, every show gets screened against the taste profile, and a human signs off before anything lands here. If we missed a show that belongs — a room we should watch, a band coming through — that’s exactly the mail we want.
